The Winners of the Starbucks gift cards are Gina Enk and Sandra King!!! Congratulations and thank you for visiting me at BookCon!!
I'm here in Chicago at BEA. It's all a new and exciting experience. Honestly, my stomach turned somersaults yesterday. Walking the giant halls under mammoth banners of well-known authors. It was both motivating and intimidating. My booth isn't even as big as a lot of those signs. The set up was challenging but the helpful staff and I conquered my little booth. I met my neighbors and found we were all newbies, learning as we go. I wish them the best of luck. To my left is a young couple representing Hollow Planet a YA science fiction novel and to my right is a nice Polish woman selling a memoir/art book, Justyna Palka, about her daughter she lost five years ago. Also on the corner is Adam selling unique puzzles. His display is fabulous and draws a lot of attention to our row. So happy he's there.
As the day went on our little row got a lot of traffic. Soon my stomach no longer felt as if I would vomit, instead, I was having fun engaging with bloggers, librarians, educators and more. I gave away several books in the hopes and promises of gaining readers and reviews. I'm thankful I brought a lot of inventory. All in all, I'm proud of myself for making the journey, for putting myself out there and doing a pretty good job if I do say so myself.
HUGE SALE TODAY!! I've put First Born at a 50% off sale today. I may leave this sale up for a while. I'm not sure when I will pull it down. It coincides with some advertising I'm doing hoping to invite readers to read my story. I'm on Goodreads. Please look me up, follow me, chat with me. I'd love to hear from you. I'd love to answer questions about First Born. The cold weather is settling in so it's a good time to pick up a book and read. Of course, here in Florida, it's not too cold. I'm currently reading a Kindle ebook "Golden" by Kathryn Robson, listening to an audio book, "The Offering" by Kimberly Derting and a paperback "Shadow and Bone" by Leigh Bardugo.
